Below are a few photographs that I took during a sunny week in September. I'm not sure how much of the village the Britain in Bloom Judges saw, but I hope the pictures show that many of the planters they saw during their visit were not just in place for the day of judging but are a permanent fixture in the village.

Is this the most photographed house in Woolton? It is just outside the boundary for the purposes of Britain in Bloom but is on the southern boundary of Woolton as it is on the North side of Menlove Avenue. So here below the blue suburban skies is "Mendips" the childhood home of John Lennon
This road junction (Menlove Avenue/Hillfoot Road/Allerton Road/Woolton Road & Vale Road) is one of the main routes into the village.
Some of the planters amongst the road signs and traffic lights in the centre of Allerton Road.
Still at the same road junction, looking up Allerton Road with Vale Road at the left edge of the picture
Going up Allerton Road and then the High Street is the site of the School badges.
The road layout makes it a bit difficult to take a picture of all the badges in one shot, this is four pictures merged together.
Near to the badges is one of the entrances to Woolton Woods/Camp Hill, and in the Walled Garden is the Cuckoo clock.
Flying round the Walled Garden were many Red Admirals
  and also a few Commas
